The much-anticipated Birkdale Village Christmas Fayre returns, transforming the entire village into a winter wonderland.
Fairground rides for both young children and adults will be available at the Christmas Fayre. Father Christmas will walk around the village greeting all the children.
Well-loved Birkdale traders have special offerings on the day, and we have a slew of outside vendors selling everything from cakes to art to jewellery.
It will be the ideal time to begin your Christmas shopping with handcrafted gifts, ideal for those looking for one-of-a-kind gifts for loved ones.
In addition, we have a number of food and beverage vans that provide a variety of delectable outside options.
Enjoy the festive spirit with the aroma of mulled wine wafting through the air, complemented by the sweet taste of traditional mince pies.
There will be plenty to do and see at this year’s Christmas Fayre, which promises to be bigger than ever.
There will be plenty of entertainment, including live music, mesmerising dance acts, and heartwarming performances by local school choirs.
Birkdale and Farnborough Road Primary Schools will both be performing. The Atkinson Choir and the ‘Rock Choir’ will perform, as will two dance acts from Central Dance and Zapa Dance.
At 5pm, the Christmas tree lights will be turned on, illuminating the heart of Birkdale Village with a festive glow. As the Rock Choir sings us into lighting our 23-foot tree, gather around with family and friends.
Fiona McGregor from Birkdale based social media agency One Media Solutions said:
“A committee made up of Birkdale business owners and traders headed up by Birkdale Civic Society have been organising the Christmas Fayre for months.
“We have all worked so hard to bring what I feel will be the best Fayre yet, our last Fayre’s saw over 10,000 visitors head to our village. We have plenty of new attractions as well as much loved ones and lots of surprise visitors too, including Merlin the Shetland pony.”
Embrace the Christmas spirit and head to Birkdale Village for a spectacular Christmas event on Sunday, December 3rd, from 11am to 6pm.
