Visitors to Royal Albert Dock can keep their love burning this Valentine’s Day with Fiesta of Fire.
From 5pm-8pm, the newly launched celebrations are set to brighten up the dark winter sky for an extra night with spectacular fire performances across the dock, perfect to watch as pre dinner date entertainment or to enjoy as part of a romantic sunset stroll with loved ones.
On Tuesday 14th February, lovebirds can marvel at dazzling displays of fire and light as part of their evening’s festivities. Revealing a fanfare of flames with burning wings, an ethereal cupid character is set to greet passers-by outside the Martin Luther King Jr. Building, which will be illuminated red as the ideal backdrop for the awe-inspiring spectacle. Visitors can also head to Britannia Courtyard to capture the day’s memories with two large burning heart wands for the ultimate selfie spot.
Additionally, visitors can start their celebrations early as the dock’s eagerly anticipated Love Tree returns. Taking centre stage in Britannia Courtyard, the illuminated sculpture is adorned with twinkling ruby red hearts and provides another ideal photo opportunity to capture a keepsake from the historic waterfront.
Those looking to make a night of it can head to the dock’s selection of bars and restaurants and savour a variety of dishes specially prepared for the occasion. Whether it’s to feast on Gusto’s Italian sharing menu featuring a succulent 18oz Chateaubriand or to dine in decadence with Miller and Carter’s three course set menu with wild scallops and chorizo, there’s something for every appetite. Alternatively, diners wanting something more casual can learn how to make boozy beverages at Revolucion de Cuba with a 90 minute cocktail masterclass, or sample a selection lip-smacking rums with a masterclass experience at The Smuggler’s Cove.
Visitors still searching for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift can also explore the dock’s array of retailers. Boasting a range of unique gifts, choose from The Nest’s variety of homeware and stationery including handmade Valentine’s cards made by local designers, to exclusively designed clothing at Red Run Activewear and Lost Soles, or a heart shaped quartz crystal from Nature’s Treasure.
With a packed programme of entertainment alongside mouthwatering menus and gorgeous gifts, celebrate Valentine’s Days at Royal Albert Dock this year.
