  • September 5, 2019

We all thrive for that perfect shot for the ‘Gram’ one to send them likes into overdrive. From exquisite venue interiors to breath-taking views and beautiful backdrops, Liverpool tops the rankings in those picture-perfect snaps!

Whether you’re a stranger to the city or a lively local, Liverpool is bursting with secret selfie spots to make your album a picturesque sanctuary.

Liver Bird Wings

Jamaica Street, Liverpool, L1 0AH

Any city worth its salt will have a thriving street art scene and Liverpool is no exception. Paul Curtis’ Liverpool Wings on Jamaica Street gives locals and tourists alike a chance to transform themselves into a Liver Bird.

Abbey Road Crossing by Paul Curtis

Grafton Street, Liverpool, L8

Only recently marked the 50th anniversary of the iconic Beatles’ album cover pose, and fans descended on the famous road in London to commemorate the event. But thanks to artist Paul Curtis’ Abbey Road Mural on Grafton Street, scousers can get in on the action without having to make the trip down south.

Queen Avenue

Queen Avenue, Dale Street, Liverpool. L2

Arguably one of Liverpool’s best kept secrets, this quaint shopping street hidden just off Castle Street is made up entirely of Grade II listed buildings. Dotted with Georgian lampposts and boasting a bistro, hair salon and winery, this magical street is certainly one to check out.

The Florist

24 Hardman Street, Liverpool, L1 9AX

Even before this restaurant opened in the Old Blind School on Hardman Street, it was set to become the most photographed venue in Liverpool- and it certainly hasn’t disappointed. Filled with breathtaking floral installations and a dedicated photo wall, this gorgeous space has to be seen to be believed.

Liverpool Waterfront

Liverpool is arguably most famous for its gorgeous waterfront which acts as a magnet for visitors and scousers on any sunny day. It doesn’t matter what part of the dock you find yourself on – there’s no better backdrop to a photo than Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.

Chinese Arch

Chinatown, Liverpool

The largest Chinese arch outside China is in Liverpool, and was sent by Shanghai, Liverpool’s twinned city, and built in 2000. The arch is 44 feet tall, contains two hundred carved dragons, and was designed in accordance with the principles of feng sui.

The Blue Coat Gardens

8 School Lane, Liverpool, L1 3BX

The Grade II listed Blue Coat Chambers on School Lane is stunning enough on its own, and home to art galleries and workspaces that bring the community together. But not many people know that it’s also home to a gorgeous botanical garden. Here you can grab a drink, a bite to eat, or just take some time out from the business of daily life in a tranquil leafy setting.

Oh Me Oh My – Goodness Gracious

West Africa House, 25 Water Street, Liverpool, L2 0RG

Nobody can resist a rooftop bar, and Goodness Gracious really steals the show with its spectacular views of Three Graces and waterfront. It’s a fully outdoor oasis in the heart of the business district, and open from March to October- with blankets provided in the chillier months, so there’s no excuse not to stick around and soak up the view.

Liverpool Mountain

Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool, L3 4BB

Liverpool has got more culture than you can shake a stick at, one particular piece of art work is Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone’s vertically stacked coloured rocks located at Royal Albert Dock. With each stone painted a different fluorescent colour, this huge multi colours stack is a cool shot to take.

The Beatles Statue

Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1BY

Lets face facts, are you even in Liverpool if you haven’t snapped a shot next to the Fab Four?! The four lads stand tall just behind the Mersey Ferry Terminal, striding into the sunset, so take that huge stride and snap away while linking one of the city’s most famous attributes!

Jaloux

Victoria Street, Liverpool, L2 5QA

Every scouse girl knows that one of the most important parts of a night out are the photo opportunities, and nightclub Jaloux takes insta-ready to a whole new level. Neon signs, an eye-catching pink and purple colour scheme and a full flower ceiling provide the perfect backdrop for endless photo opportunities.

The Georgian Quarter

Can you even recall a more beautifully architecture location than the Georgian Quarter? The area takes you back centuries, almost feeling like you’re within a Charles Dickens novel all elegant and graceful, so before heading to one of the many pubs along the area, sit on the steps of one of the stunning buildings and get papped!

Bombed Out Church

Leece Street, Liverpool, L1 2TR

St Luke’s church is stunning no matter what time of year or season and is of course known to us locals as the Bombed Out Church! Whether snapping the church itself, or the gardens around it, this roofless building is chilling in the winter but also so stunningly eye-catching in the summer months.

Superlambanana

Now who would of thought a statue of 8-tonne yellow metal posing as a sheep combined with a banana would be one to add to you list?? Ever popular for selfies or hanging off this yellow masterpieces back, have you even been around the city if you haven’t bumped into the Superlambanana!

The Palm House

Sefton Park, Liverpool, L17 1AP

The Palm House at Sefton Park is one place to visit to capture a shot like no other. From the ravishing tropical greenery cascaded around this striking glasshouse to the impressive hanging blossoms in every colour under the sun, this fairy tale haven will leave your camera roll beaming with beauty.
