The Lake House in Waterloo has unveiled its new autumn/winter menu, a slew of seasonal events, brand new heated outdoor huts, and new outside food stations.

New lighting has also been installed across the park from The Lake House up to South Road, making it much easier to visit now that the darker evenings have arrived.

The Lake House’s talented chefs have created a new autumn/winter menu that uses the best seasonal produce to create heartwarming dishes perfect for the colder months.

The beef cheek Bolognese is unquestionably the star of the show, and the brand-new grill section serves a tasty selection of steaks and burgers, all served with fries and salad. Chef Jess’ sticky toffee pudding is the standout dessert, served with the most delectable dark rum caramel sauce, and is the perfect way to end any meal.

The Sunday Roast has also been updated, with options such as black treacle and coffee rump of beef, garlic and truffle roast chicken, or lemon and thyme roasted cauliflower, all served with sauteed greens, roast potatoes, and, of course, Yorkshire puddings.

In addition to the new restaurant menu, The Lawn at The Lake House is currently constructing brand-new heated huts, which will be the ideal stopping point for winter walks with friends and family. The huts were designed so that guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Crosby Marina while remaining warm and cosy. The Lawn will also feature brand new food stations serving festive street food and winter-warming drinks.

Christmas at The Lake House is set to be magical and fun for the entire family with all of these new additions. There is a full festive calendar of events at The Lake House this Christmas, including a gift-wrapping workshop, a festive afternoon tea, and Santa Soirees, so there is something for everyone.

Tyra Leeming, the General Manager of The Lake House, expressed her enthusiasm, stating:

“We are really excited for all the plans we have, the whole team has been working hard on pulling everything together and the new menu is really special. The outdoor huts and new food stations are the perfect addition to the lawn area for the winter months and we are so happy to have the new lighting up to South Road as our guests have been asking about this since we opened.”
