This May, a town-wide beer festival will take over Southport town centre.
The inaugural Southport Beer Week will be a celebration of real ale and good beer hosted by pubs and bars around the town centre.

15 venues are already signed up to take part, with more expected to join in on the experience.
The Beer Week takes place over four days between Thursday May 22 – Sunday 25 2025. The new event will feature an ‘ale trail’ around the town centre and a line-up of beer-themed events.
People will be able to explore the town’s pubs and bars, taste some great beers, and collect stamps at each venue visited. Collect enough stamps to complete your trail booklet and you could be in with the chance of winning some great prizes.
Over 70 real ales and craft beers will be on offer, with unique brews from local and independent breweries set to feature.
Many of the pubs and bars involved will also be hosting special events. Expect mini festivals, ‘meet the brewers’, one-off food offerings and much more.
Southport Beer Week is being organised by Southport BID, who are working alongside Southport Pubwatch members and town centre venues.
Local artist Ruthie Illustrations has created original artworks to celebrate the event.
More details will be announced soon.
