Allerton Road locals will be sad to see the exquisite favourite, Verdant depart from the social scene on one of the city’s much-loved locations.
But all is not lost as a brand-new venue is set to fill the void and is something that can only be described as simply stunning.
Verdant, which was known for its staple flower ceiling, and huge crushed velvet chair, permanently closed on Sunday 22 September, making way for Bloom Bar & Bistro.
The restaurant opened its doors to the public on Friday 27 September after undergoing a facelift, with new owners Charlotte and Vicky McGregor refreshing the restaurant to give it an airy, light, floral feel.
Bloom Bar & Bistro will have even more photo opportunities than before, with the floral ceiling remaining as an Instagrammable feature.
The mother and daughter duo will also be adding more floral touches, beautiful booth seating and a delicious new menu that includes small plates and larger dishes, including plenty of vegan and vegetarian options so there is something for everyone.
Co-owner and General Manager, Charlotte McGregor, said: “Since taking over Verdant in May, we’ve been so excited about revamping the interior to put our own stamp on the venue and really make it our own.
“We’re still keeping some elements of Verdant, but we’ll be making it lighter and brighter and bringing out that floral theme – hence our new name, Bloom Bar & Bistro!
“We can’t wait to reopen to reveal our revamped interior and brand-new menu to customers old and new.”
