PYG Track – Snowdon

PYG Track - Snowdon

PYG Track is the shortest route up Snowdon with the least amount of ascent, but far from being the easiest!

This could be a tough walk for some. We went with a group of 6 and a few of the lads were struggling towards the end.

There are easier tracks to the top but if you’re up for the challenge then the views from this track are unreal. Plenty of places to stop for a quick bite with a boss little view. Recommend you take a bit of food as it does take it out of you.

Go down the way you go up, we learnt this the hard way and made our walk slightly longer.

PYG Track Information

Location: PYG Track, Snowdon, Wales, LL55 4NU ????

Drive: Between 1hr 45 – 2hrs from Liverpool

Sat Nav: Pen y Pass car park

Walk Distance: 7 miles

Time: 5-6 hours

Cost: Free

Parking: Pay and display (coins needed). The car park usually gets full pretty early. We got there around 8:30am and there were no spaces available. If you carry on further down the road you can park on the side of the road.

Please be advised we visited here in November 2018 so some details and information may of changed since our visit.

At Scouse Travel Guide we will offer you our experiences and recommendations on the places we visit around the world. Our aim is to give you all the info you need to make it easier for you to share the same experiences. We hope you find this page useful.
