Akasya located on Bold Street has been a big hit since opening, with the venue now extending the site with an outdoor seating area.
Located in the former home of noted designer boutique Giancarlo Ricci, Akasya’s prominent location on Bold Street has seen it become a welcome addition to one of the city’s best food and drink locations.
Owner, Yunus Emre Ugur, said:
“We opened during the start of the second year of the covid-19 pandemic and it was not the best time to open in the hospitality sector, with many many restrictions and guidelines in place. But we have seen Akasya become more and more popular with diners so much so that we hit number 1 in Tripadvisor late last year. Since then we have remained in the top 10, currently we are 7th, out of nearly 1500 restaurants across Liverpool. This has been a fantastic achievement for all our hard working team. Liverpool is such a diverse city and I don’t think there is a more diverse street than Bold Street. It is literally awash with food from all over the world. With this in mind we wanted to expand on our current location and have now added fixed seating outside also as we move into a busy summer period.”
Set over two floors, with well over 100 covers, Akasya has created a bustling and vibrant theme, based around contemporary Turkish cuisine, with a traditional grill, tasty baklava menu and laid-back cocktails to complete the restaurant’s authentic experience. Dishes range from adana made on the charcoal grill to specials such as beyti.
Bold Street has an eclectic mix of restaurants, food outlets, takeaways etc…from all over the world. A mix of local independent and national chains. The street literally has something for everyone.
