Our Kid is based on the multi-award-winning short film ‘THOMAS’ by Daniel P. Lewis, the film’s writer, and is directed by veteran ‘bad guy’ actor Sean Cronin.
The story is told through the eyes and imagination of Laura, a twelve-year-old girl whose only ambition in life is to one day play professional football, until tragedy strikes at the heart of the family. Although Laura has many football heroes, her older brother Thomas is her absolute favourite. With the help of family and friends, his inspirational quest to raise money for charity through a sponsored bike ride, while overcoming the challenges of his cerebral palsy, overcomes adversity and demonstrates to the community what determination and perseverance can achieve.
