Liverpool, May 2021 – Only Child, led by Scouse songwriter Alan O’Hare, announce the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed ‘Straight Lines’.
Taken from the band’s fourth album, due later in 2021, ‘… And The Band Played On’ (out May 28th) is a slice of guitar-led protest pop that will sit nicely alongside Billy Bragg, Elvis Costello and Paul Weller in summer playlists.
“I love a list song,” laughs O’Hare. “From ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’ to ‘Tokyo Storm Warning’, they’ve provided me with sing-a-long fuel all my life. This is my ‘thank you’ to those teachers who taught me all about three chords and the truth.”
“THOUGHT-DREAMS, WORDS & HONESTY…”
