Liverpool’s huge Oktoberfest has welcomed hundreds of revellers after opening its doors at the city’s waterfront Exhibition Centre.
With bratwurst from Bavaria, mountains of pretzels, lots of lederhosen and live oompah bands, the three day extravaganza is the biggest of its kind the North West.
The festivities are in full swing and will continue until October 28th, culminating in a final Saturday night session.
Paul Laing from Oktoberfest Liverpool said:
“We kicked off on Thursday with a special Halloween spooktacular with fancy dress and party games creating a unique atmosphere.
“The fun is set to continue with a more traditional weekend Oktoberfest and we still want people to dress up to enjoy the entertainment, food and of course the steins of beer!
“Of course, the beauty about being indoors means it doesn’t matter about the weather outside, everyone can still have a great time in a climate-controlled and safe environment.”
Sessions take place on Friday and Saturday from 6pm-11pm with an extra session on Saturday from 12-5pm. Tickets are priced at £16 and are available on the day or can be pre-booked at www.ticketquarter.co.uk
