Liverpool ranked 2nd cheapest city in the UK for a pint

Its common knowledge that the price of a good old pint of lager has certainly increased over the years, but what if we were to tell you that in a recent survey Liverpool ranked 2nd for the cheapest pint in the UK!

Pipped at the post, Blackpool where the champions at the number one spot with the city charging £2.50 per pint, whilst Liverpool charges £3.00 per pint.

  1. Blackpool 

Blackpool’s £2.50 pints are a far cry from London’s £5.00 pint. With 95 clubs and bars in Blackpool there is plenty of choice when it comes to sampling the cheap pints.

Liverpool is the second cheapest city in the UK for a pint, on average it only costs £3.00. The city also boasts to having 195 clubs and bars, this is heaven to the students of Liverpool!

  1. Nottingham

Nottingham is the third cheapest city in the UK for a pint of beer, on average it only costs £3.15. The city is also home to 117 clubs and bars. It’s time to plan a night out in Robin Hood land.

This study was part of a worldwide stag do index. A stag-do is heavily associated with drinking, as pending grooms seek to enjoy their last night out as a single man.

The price of a pint may well be a factor that drives stags to certain destinations. The Index investigated the average cost of a pint per destination, with Sofia being revealed as the cheapest and Paris as being the most expensive.

The worldwide stag do index ranks city destinations based on a variety of lifestyle factors, such as the best night outs, cost of food and alcohol as well as weather guarantee (because no one wants it to be raining during their last night of freedom).
