Knowsley Safari is re-opening and you can enjoy a full day of outdoor fun for just £10 per person

Merseyside’s Knowsley Safari is celebrating the end of another lockdown with £10 per person tickets, available from 10am on Wednesday 2nd December, so families can enjoy a full day of outdoor fun.

With contactless entry and social-distancing measures in place across Knowsley Safari’s 550-acre site, guests can be assured of one of the country’s safest days out.

Guests must pre-book online at www.knowsleysafariexperience.co.uk and once at the Safari visitors can see first-hand how the animals have been busy adjusting to the cold winter season.

Many will be waiting to show off their new winter coats, including the yaks with hair so long it almost touches the floor, Mongolian camels donning their woolly coats and visitors will also see just how hairy Europe’s largest living land mammal, the European Bison, really is!

On the Foot Safari guests can spot Amur Tiger sisters, Sinda and Bira, completely at home in the cold weather in their Russian-inspired habitat, as well as Iberian wolves, meerkats, giraffe and bush dogs. The popular Flight of the Talons bird of prey display happens daily where guests can watch vultures, hawks and stalks feeding, flying and swooping just inches above.

Guests can experience the closest thing to a personal tour guide by downloading the Knowsley Safari app before arrival. The app helps visitors discover fascinating facts about the animals they spot on their day out.

After all the action, visitors are able to re-fuel at one of the outdoor food outlets or warm up inside with table service at the Safari’s Oasis Restaurant.

Rachel Scott, Head of Marketing, Knowsley Safari, says: “We can’t wait to welcome guests back into the Safari. The animals have undergone a significant change over the last few weeks – it’s fabulous to see how quickly they adjust to winter by growing their thick coats, in fact the staff have wrapped up too and can’t wait to welcome everyone back in!”

Visitors must book a timeslot online at www.knowsleysafariexperience.co.uk. Knowsley Safari’s social distancing and enhanced hygiene measures remain to ensure the maximum health, safety and enjoyment for all guests, staff and animals.

Measures include timed and contactless entry, a one-way Foot Safari, socially distanced picnic areas, PPE for staff, protective screens and helpful staff and signage.
