Everyone is welcome to Jacaranda Baltic’s huge, free-to-attend launch party on Saturday, January 20th, where they will show off Liverpool’s best talent.

The Jacaranda shocked Liverpool on January 1st when they revealed that, 65 years after opening their original location on Slater Street, a brand-new record store and 400-capacity live venue in Cain’s Brewery, Baltic Triangle, would open on Friday, January 12th.

Acts like Red Rum Club, Dizzee Rascal, and Tom Odell have all scheduled album releases from Jacaranda Baltic for the first few months of 2024. The finest local talent in Liverpool will be featured at the launch party, carrying on the legacy of the original Jacaranda. Each act has been hand-picked to highlight a different facet of the Liverpool band scene in 2024.

As is customary with Jacaranda, they’ve invited new boys, The Driver’s Club will perform live for the first time at the launch party; Sterling Press, one of the hottest acts in the northwest; Rock N Roll Circus, widely regarded as Liverpool’s tightest covers band; and Zuzu, the party’s main act, whose songs have received over a million Spotify plays.

The crew is giving out special codes to everyone who shows up at the launch party. With these codes, attendees can download a brand-new Jacaranda Records EP that includes Voice-O-Graph recordings from all of the bands playing that evening. The 1958 “cut-straight-to-vinyl” Voice-O-Graph machine used by The Jacaranda was specifically used to record the Launch Party EP for the occasion.

The Driver’s Club, Outsider, Sterling Press, Rock N Roll Circus, and Zuzu are on the evening’s schedule. Doors open at 6pm and the Jacaranda Baltic Launch Party begins at 7pm at Cain’s Brewery.

Graham Stanley, Managing Director of The Jacaranda and Jacaranda Baltic says:

“You’ve got one chance at a first impression so we wanted to show everybody that even though this is a new site in a new part of town The Jacaranda DNA is still there and that’s exactly what the launch party is all about.”

“Every act on the bill is at a different point of their journey as a band but the one thing that connects them all is that they’ve all been good friends of The Jacaranda over the years.”
