House of Spells and Comic Con Liverpool are once again collaborating to bring the city alive with a celebration of pop culture and fantasy. Scheduled for May 3rd and 4th, 2025, at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool and M&S Bank Arena Liverpool, this exciting collaboration promises to thrill fans and give a welcome boost to Liverpool’s tourism and local economy.
The collaboration between House of Spells and Comic Con Liverpool has already proven to be a strong driver of tourism and economic activity in the city, particularly around the Albert Dock area. During last year’s Comic Con, Liverpool was filled with attendees dressed as their favourite characters, creating a joyful and colourful atmosphere. The sight of fans in creative costumes wandering along Albert Dock not only delighted both locals and tourists but also led to increased foot traffic for nearby businesses, including cafes, restaurants, and shops.

This year’s event is expected to bring even larger crowds, attracting around 40,000 fans from across the country and beyond. The influx of visitors is set to support local businesses, including hotels, restaurants, and retail outlets, further cementing Liverpool’s reputation as a thriving cultural hub and a must-visit destination for pop culture lovers.
The collaboration between Comic Con Liverpool and House of Spells is set to offer even more excitement and activities in 2025. Both organisations are investing in additional events and competitions, giving fans of all ages more ways to connect and celebrate the fandom world.
For the first time, House of Spells will have its own dedicated exhibition space at Comic Con, bringing exclusive merchandise, magical displays, and interactive experiences. This will encourage House of Spells’ loyal community of fans to be part of Comic Con, strengthening the bond between both fan bases and creating unforgettable moments for attendees.
Also, House of Spells will host a free-to-attend, pre-event party on Friday, May 2nd, filled with free merchandise and discounts, and many other surprises! Fans are encouraged to regularly check Comic Con Liverpool and House of Spells’ social media accounts for more information.

Given its proximity to the Comic Con venue, House of Spells will attempt to add one more day of fandom buzz before the two-day fantasy crescendo at Exhibition Centre Liverpool.
Recognising the power of digital platforms, House of Spells and Comic Con Liverpool are combining their strong online presence to engage a broader audience. Through coordinated social media campaigns, exclusive online content, and interactive activities in the lead-up to the event, they aim to connect with fans worldwide — ensuring that even those unable to attend in person can still be part of the celebration.
One of the most anticipated highlights of Comic Con Liverpool is the Cosplay Competition, a showcase of creativity, craftsmanship, and passion. The event features two main contests:
· Cosplay Championship (Saturday): For experienced cosplayers who have crafted at least 75% of their costumes. Participants will showcase their work on stage and may perform in character. Entrants must be aged 14 and over.
· Cosplay Masquerade (Saturday and Sunday): Open to all fans, whether their costumes are handmade or bought. This fun, non-competitive parade celebrates creativity in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere.

Fans can expect more surprises and interactive experiences to be announced as the event approaches, keeping the excitement alive right up to Comic Con weekend.
House of Spells is no stranger to attracting prominent figures, having hosted an impressive grand opening in 2024 attended by notable industry leaders and the Lord Mayor of Liverpool.
And Comic Con Liverpool 2025 boasts an unmissable line-up of celebrity guests that will draw fans from across the globe. Expected appearances include: Alec Baldwin, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Rainn Wilson, and Denise Richards.
These well-known stars will be available for autographs, photo opportunities, and interactive panels, giving attendees the chance to meet their favourite actors and creators up close.
