Workshops & Dance Rehearsals

Movema are looking for 20 performers from Liverpool’s community to get involved. Ages 8 and above, and all abilities welcome.Registration Form

Movema have an exciting and new creative team that will be lead by Co-Director Pei Tong. The Liverpool world dance company will be collaborating with multidisciplinary artists from Liverpool and Manchester, including China Arts.

Pei says; “Participants will take part in exploring, learning and sharing dance, including movement from East Asian and South East Asian heritage. We’ll be covering folk, classical and contemporary dance styles, blended with Kpop, Cpop and other modern dance influences.

All whilst having dedicated time to discuss, explore and create a performance that represents who we are and what we want to say as part of our polycultural community today.

Chinese New Year provides an opportunity to be seen, celebrated, and listened to, as well as being a chance to learn from each other and challenge perceptions of the world we live in.”
