Faces of Liverpool – Iroro Azanuwha

What do you love about Liverpool?

What I love about Liverpool is the sense of humour, the architecture and the large diverse communities all within one city, I’m a season ticket holder so obviously LFC.

Name one main thing about living in Liverpool that makes you proud?

The solidarity between scousers is second to none, it makes me proud to be a Liverpudlian, we have an opinion and we’re not afraid to share it.

Name one place in Liverpool that holds a special place in your heart?

I remember going to the Festival Gardens or the Garden festival when I was younger, I remember the real Worzel Gummidge being their, played by John Pertwee and my sister having to take a photo with him.

Is there anything on your ‘Bucket List’ to do in Liverpool that you’re still yet to achieve?

I would love to have a game of football at Anfield, it’s always been a dream, I’ve been on the pitch but I would love to have a little match.

Do you have any tales of Liverpool or claim to fame while in the city?

My claim to fame is way back in the 80’s my school was taken to St Georges Hall to star in the new Coca Cola advert at that time, could probably find it on youtube.
