Everton in the Community welcome St Johns Shopping Centre as a Charity of the Year Partner

St Johns and EitC are partnering to support those most in need across the city, whilst also aligning their corporate values and working together to highlight the charity’s life-saving provision.

St Johns Shopping Centre has become synonymous with Liverpool’s retail sector since it first opened in 1969, and its latest link up with Everton’s official charity will see both organisations work towards a mutual goal.

St Johns and EitC are partnering to support those most in need across the city, whilst also aligning their corporate values and working together to highlight the charity’s life-saving provision.

The partnership will bring a particular focus to attaining more participant engagement within the charity’s programmes, following the 18-month postponement of face-to-face delivery during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.

Regularly attracting more than 13 million people a year, St Johns Shopping Centre will provide the charity with a significant platform to expand its reach and offer its life-changing delivery to more residents across Merseyside.

The partnership will aim to engage, educate and support thousands across the city and help to improve lives across the region.

St Johns Shopping Centre Director, Neil Ashcroft, said:

“We are delighted to have Everton in the Community as our charity partner.

“There is a clear synergy between St Johns and EitC as we both serve the same community. We look forward to giving our support in an impactful and meaningful way by pledging time and resources to help on important projects and assist in fundraising activities.

“Working together will make a tangible impact to those that visit the centre and access EitC’s services.”

Dan Rogers, Corporate Partnership Executive at Everton in the Community, added:

“We have a great opportunity to engage with the visitors of St Johns Shopping Centre who may not be aware of all the work our charity does and the support available within our community.

“We would like to thank St Johns for this opportunity to engage more of our local community in EitC programmes.

“Everton in the Community continues to break down barriers and stigmas surrounding poor physical and mental health, and strives to improve the lives of all people.”
