Dovestone Reservoir is a spectacular area located on the edge of Oldham and the Peak District National Park, the area is popular with visitors and for family days out.
Great walk for all. Well pathed so easily done with a pram/ wheelchair. When we got to the choppy stream there was a (locked) gate we jumped over to continue the path up the stream and that’s where you find the big ‘water slide’.
The path continues onto Yeoman Hey Reservoir but it was closed so I don’t know any information.
Walk can be made as short as 2 miles and as long as you want.
Plenty to do and see here.
