Want to get creative in lockdown?
Then why not try out the Everyman & Playhouse’s ‘Build a play’ in the comfort of your own home.
Over the next few weeks Everyman Playhouse are going to help you build your very own play, with their New Work Associate Frank who will take you through the building blocks of making a play.
Using the tips and tricks of the trade and their years of working with playwrights, the Everyman want to get your creative ideas flowing!
The team will release a new mission every Tuesday and Thursday which will give participants some writing prompts designed to work as stand-alone exercises or to build into a full play.
What will you need?
Its entirely up to you! You can get creative on your tablet or computer, or you can use a shed load of paper! Make sure you have your creative heads on and loads of charisma.
Who can take part?
Build a play is suitable for all ages and designed with the Key Stage 2 English Creative Writing and Drama aims in mind.
All available tasks can be found at www.everymanplayhouse.com/everyplaytime/buildaplay with new tasks added every Tuesday and Thursday. Teachers, carers or parents may want to give the tasks directly to the children or they may want to talk through the task with children first.
Make sure to follow the Everyman & Playhouse social media channels, where you can ask questions or tag them into your work (a picture of your story or video performing it) on Twitter using the hashtag #EveryPlayTime.
