Local multi-award winning CIC ‘The Inclusive Hub’ announces a new location, creating more space and opportunities for people of all abilities and ages.
The venue which has created a fitness community for children and adults across Liverpool, has now set up a new home located on Thornton Road, Bootle.
The Inclusive Hub has been providing a safe place for people with additional needs to socialise and keep fit since 2016.
The core purpose is to give people from marginalised groups a place where they feel safe, secure and supported to develop or maintain physical fitness and general positive mental well-being.
Outcomes and testimonials of their work has mainly seen medication costs come down and peoples personal aspirations sky rocket.
The Inclusive Hub now have around 2,500 people registered to them who may be differently abled, suffer with mental health and social isolation or registered from one of the many SEND schools the Hub work with across Merseyside.
There is also a Women’s Group that meet weekly and is a support group for women who have experienced/are experiencing negative mental health issues, domestic violence survivors and mothers who are trying to cope with children who have complex needs; all of which take their toll on general health & well-being.
Liam Starkey of the Inclusive Hub said:
“After increasing in numbers year on year and serving the community of Kirkdale and beyond, the timing of our new facility couldn’t be any better.
Our numbers meant we outgrew our current residence and needed a bigger facility to house the growing demand.
The Ascot Group have joined our partner team and unbelievably kindly offered a new premises to us in the heart of Bootle.
The Inclusive Hubs new home will offer bespoke fun based boxing and fitness sessions, a sensory / yoga room, I.T learning suite and a modern multi purpose function hall with stage and viewing gallery.
The Inclusive Hub is a solely independent, community owned initiative that will now change even more lives for the better in our very own facility.
Moving forward we can now grow our relationships with Liverpool’s John Moore’s University, Merseyside VRU, Alder Hey Hospital and our very own numerous initiatives across Merseyside.
Everyone at the Inclusive Hub would like to thank all our partners for their continuous support as we couldn’t of done this without them”
The Inclusive Hub have genuinely been humbled by the many offers of help and the good wishes of so many people – some old friends and some who are new to the Inclusive Hub and who are just interested to find out more about what they are doing.
