full line-ups revealed for FestEvol at Invisible Wind Factory this Summer

Following selling out their Birkenhead Future Yard FestEvol All Dayer in 2hrs last week, Liverpool promoters EVOL return to their spiritual home of the Invisible Wind Factory to complete the trilogy of FestEvol All Day summer events.

Two August Saturday dates are now revealed in full, encompassing pioneering live artists who will electrify the intimate venue. The lineups celebrate the best of the city’s music and proudly acclaims some of the UK’s most exciting and prominent artists, a vibrant and eclectic spectrum which seeks to redress the ongoing gender imbalance in festivals.

On Saturday 7th August acclaimed electronic producer Kelly Lee Owens makes her solo Liverpool debut in support of her critically lauded sophomore album ‘Inner Song’ alongside Yorkshire synth pop live force Working Men’s Club. They return to the city following their success at the BBC 6 Music Festival a couple of years back.

Liverpool’s beautifully idiosyncratic electronic trio Stealing Sheep perform their 2019 Heavenly Records album ‘Big Wows’ and FestEvol stalwarts the mighty Tea Street Band are armed to the teeth with freshly recorded material from their forthcoming and highly anticipated third album. The four joint headliners are joined by a profusion of both national and Merseyside talent including IST IST, The Ninth Wave, Walt Disco, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Odd Morris, Pixey, White Flowers, SKIA, Haarm, The DSM IV, Eyesore & The Jinx, Silent-K, Psycho Comedy, Honey Motel and Oranj Son.

Saturday 14th August sees a slight switch in musical styles from a dance orientation to more traditional indie, as London four piece The Big Moon return to the city after selling out their early 2020 O2 Academy show in support of their Top 20 album ‘Walking Like We Do’. Uptempo daydream pop Halifax three piece The Orielles also make a graceful return, bringing their seamless second album ‘Disco Volador’ to life after an absence of four years. Brighton indie rock group Black Honey make a third return after hitting the chart highs with a No. 7 album ‘Written & Directed’ earlier this year and Sheffield pop sensation Rebecca Lucy Taylor formerly of the group Slow Club makes her Evol and Liverpool debut as Self Esteem.

The four headliners are joined by an inimitable supporting cast including Lucia And The Best Boys, Big Joanie, Pins, Phoebe Green, Trudy And The Romance, Holy Youth Movement, Average Sex, The Peach Fuzz, Ali Horn, Gen & The Degenerates, Bobby West, Zee Davine, Beija Flo, Michael Robert Murphy, Sky Valley Mistress, Rongo Rongo, The Merchants and Hannah’s Little Sister.

The DJ line up includes Primal Scream producer and former Sabres of Paradise member Jagz Kooner, Welsh BBC radio presenter Katie Owen, extravert punk drum & bass group Tokky Horror and Liverpool club stalwarts Liquidation Sound System, MrPaul, Jimmy Allen, Bear Growls and Jade Li.

Promoter Revo said:

“It’s a wonderful feeling to be announcing a further two FestEvol events for the region at the much loved Invisible Wind Factory venue. We’ve had an enforced 18 months out the game and I’m encouraged that consumer confidence in live music has returned. These events are tailor made to showcase some of the brightest and best artists in the country under one roof with a beautiful supporting cast of the best groups from the region and beyond. Both Saturdays are going to be an incredible experience, it’s everything we’ve missed for so long and more.”
