Scally Magazine – Giving the people of Liverpool a voice

Liverpool is a city renowned for knowing their stuff and then some, so what better way to get their voices heard than a new online magazine to vent, debate and tell some old folk tales.

Giving the Mersey a mouth, Scally Magazine is a new online space which provides the people of Liverpool with an opportunity to share their ideas, opinions, and interests through the format of a published online article.

Alongside this, the magazine will also keep abreast of all the latest goings on in and around the city, and will tell the stories of groups, organisations, and individuals who actively contribute to the betterment of the city region.

One of the main aims of Scally Magazine is to analyse and look into the issues which Liverpool faces and highlight those who are trying to solve them.

Although the new online style forum wants to hear people’s thoughts and opinions, Scally Mag won’t be a talk shop for libel and slander, but an environment where considered and constructive ideas and opinions can be expressed.

Aaron Daniels, Founder of Scally Magazine said:

“The idea was born out of the notion that Liverpool has a lot going on, and the people of our city have a lot to say. As a keen writer in my spare time, working full-time doesn’t offer me the opportunity to pursue my passion and I know a lot of people feel the same way.

“The creation of the magazine aims to provide people with that chance to get creative and put their thoughts out there.”

The team are currently in the process of putting the finishing touches to their website and hope to go live over the next week or so. But in the meantime, don’t let this stop you from getting in touch!

The refreshing new online magazine is set to be a sure fire hit with locals, as well as people from beyond Scouse territory. The much-loved Scouse terms and view points will come as a welcomed read to the city, as it will for those further afield.

Whether it is culture, lifestyle, politics, sport, activism, or music Scally Magazine will have it covered.

If you are interested in contributing to Scally Magazine and having an article published, you can DM via their Twitter social media @ScallyMagazine, or submit a piece of writing to scallymag@outlook.com
