Who knew that lockdown would see a star born! Well that is what has happened when local singer and entertainer James Franklyn’s daughter Courtney stole the show.
James and his daughter have been keeping us all entertained in the comfort of our homes during COVID-19, where they have been performing live singing sessions each week across social media.
Bringing that little bit of sunshine and tons of charisma, Courtney has been strutting her stuff to dance classics, which has seen her confidence grow massively.
Courtney who has a rare condition called pseudo pseudo hyperthyroidism type 1a, was told she wouldn’t live past the age of 5, will be turning 18 this year.
Courtney goes for rest bite at Claire house and loves it there calling it her holiday home, to show their support at this time they have set up a go funding page to raise money for Claire house, which has raised over £2,000 so far.
To celebrate the bank holiday weekend, James and Courtney decided to have a weekend jam packed full of entertainment, which will include local singers performing live on Facebook on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th May from 12.00pm-9.00pm.
Courtney’s Big Claire House Bash will be raising as much money possible for the amazing Claire House Hospice for children. The Facebook group recently set up has already over 2600 members, to help raise money for the charity.
