This September will see the return of ‘Under One Roof’ an amazing event, giving people with learning disabilities and their carers, friends and family the opportunity to enjoy a proper night out in a safe space.
After a sell-out first event, Under One Roof will be returning to District located within the Baltic Triangle, bringing the full works – an established DJ, club lighting at one hell of a venue!
Under One Roof takes place in Liverpool on Thursday 26th September, with the same party ethos and a carefully selected accessible clubbing venue District, is the perfect environment for the disability rave.
Alice, who founded Under One Roof said: “One of our guiding principles is inclusivity. That’s been our thing from day one and why we wanted to start the party. We thought we’d love to be able to extend that out to new audiences who might not be able to come to our nights.”
BBC News covered Under One Roof’s first event (with 1.5 million views and counting!) and the journey of Shane who is a keen DJ who attended. Manchester Evening News have also given Under One Roof a great writeup and Skiddle have just realised a mini documentary on the event.
Tickets are priced at £3.00 and FREE for carers, aiming to make it affordable for groups big and small. Under One Roof ensures numbers are kept realistic for the venue size, so there will be plenty of room to move and dance. There will be flashing lights and loud music. The venue has a bar and alcohol will be on sale as well as soft drinks.
