Experience the spooky side of Speke Hall this Autumn, when the ever-popular Torchlight Tours returns!
Led by the Lady in Black, real name Sheila Walsh, visitors will be taken around the historic hall in complete darkness to discover tales of its previous inhabitants, including the legend of the white lady.
A hearty winter dish, sweet traybake and tea or coffee is included as part of the experience, before guests enter the hall to embark on a terrifying trail through the house. It is recommended that guests bring their own small torch and dress warmly.
The tours will take place on 2nd & 16th October and 6th, 13th & 20th November, with the tours running at 5.45pm and 7.30pm. Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour and is therefore not suitable for those who are not able to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Seating is available in some areas. As they will mostly take place in complete darkness, the tours are not suitable for pregnant women, people of a nervous disposition or those who suffer from heart complaints. Over 18s only.
Tickets are priced at £23.00 per person and can be purchased online at Speke Hall’s website, or by telephone on 0344 249 1895. Tickets always sell out quickly, so it is recommended to book fast. Prices apply to both National Trust members and non-members.
