Easter Sunday will begin with Easter prayers of celebration at the famous Strawberry Field gates at 8am, followed by an open invitation to hot cross buns and a brew with the team.

Strawberry Field offers a place for peace, prayer and quiet contemplation, and a space of sanctuary where people can connect with friends and family, nature and music. Families are invited to join the ‘You are Loved’ Easter trail on Easter Sunday. The trail encourages participants to unearth hidden acts of kindness and discover more about the grounds where John Lennon played as a child, claiming a free Easter egg upon completing their journey.

Strawberry Field will be offering a special Easter-themed menu at the Imagine More café. Prepared using locally sourced produce, guests can enjoy traditional Good Friday and Easter Sunday dishes, such as fish and succulent lamb while overlooking the beautiful gardens.

Telling the story of John Lennon’s childhood and the writing and recording of the iconic song, ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’, as well as the history of The Salvation Army, the attraction boasts an interactive visitor exhibition. Throughout the Easter break, visitors can explore the ‘Imagine’ piano, the original red gates, and the gardens where John played and dreamed as a child.

Kathy Versfeld, mission director at Strawberry Field, said:

“Easter is a time for spiritual reflection, for celebrating the miracle of new life, and for bringing families and friends together.  What better place to do that than at Strawberry Field! We look forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy a host of Easter-themed festivities while coming together as a community to find hope and to celebrate the true meaning of Easter in beautiful, tranquil surroundings.”
