Splash Art England’s first interactive art studio opens in Liverpool

Liverpool is now home to the first interactive art studio in England, Splash Art, where visitors can produce their own works of art by spraying, squirting, splattering, and shooting paint at a blank canvas.

Splash Art, situated in the Ropewalks district in a former theatre, provides a range of artistic activities, including dart, spin, and pendulum art. Additionally, neon paint-filled guns allow for nighttime combat.

Jasmin Ungar, the director of Midnight Delivery and co-founder of Bam Boo Brunch and Cocktails, is the driving force behind the project.

Jasmin, a 28-year-old German native originally from Stuttgart, began painting as a way to decompress after gaining success in her own hospitality enterprises.

She said:

“Splash Art gives visitors permission to leave the day-to-day behind, and the freedom to express themselves. Guests are encouraged to create, get messy, release their frustrations and celebrate their joy.”

Travelling the world and meeting Salvatore Garu, the man who famously sold a “Invisible Sculpture” for $18,300, inspired Jasmin to dive headfirst into the world of contemporary art, putting on her first exhibition in July 2022 at London’s Holy Art Gallery. Since then, she has finished a number of private and business commissions in the UK.

Although some artists may prefer to work independently, Jasmin enthusiastically involves her family and friends in her creative endeavours, thereby motivating them to participate in her journey of creativity. At this moment, she desires that others discover the delight of creating and derive the same pleasure and fulfilment from their own artistic endeavours.

Jasmin, who had rapidly outgrown her living quarters, started looking for a designated art space where she could exercise her creativity on a larger scale, experiment with new techniques, and become splattered with paint. After relocating to an abandoned theatre, Splash Art was conceived as the first interactive and immersive art space in Liverpool.

“Splash Art was created with the belief that art should be accessible to anyone, whether your little one is just starting to hold a paintbrush or you’re a seasoned pro looking for a new creative outlet.

“We want to give people an unforgettable art experience. We are made to create, so let’s create together!”

With space for up to 60 guests, the studio can accommodate large groups of people for corporate team-building exercises as well as hen or stag parties. Guests can paint alongside other customers, fostering a lively and dynamic atmosphere, or they can reserve a private room for a more private event that suits their needs.

Whether you’re trying to impress that special someone or buying for that one friend who already has everything and doesn’t need more meaningless stuff, gift vouchers are the ideal Christmas gift. Together, you can not only make unforgettable experiences, but each person will go home with a unique work of art.

Experiences start from £30 and are available to book via the website
