Local artist, Paul Curtis, has announced his ARRRRRRT competition for kids across the Liverpool City Region to take part in an Art Treasure Hunt this Easter.
Paul is inviting all 5 – 16 year olds to take part in a unique treasure hunt this Easter holidays. The challenge is to find and photograph as many of Paul’s public artworks as you can during the Easter break.
All you have to do is print off the below map and hold it up when you have your photo taken with each artwork. There are over 100 public murals to find! You MUST have the map included in the photo or it won’t count (this is so that everyone is starting at zero count for the treasure hunt).
To help you find each mural, you can use the interactive map here.
Once you have collected your photos, you need to upload them to an album on Flickr or Facebook. Once you have loaded all of your photos onto Flickr/Facebook, email paulcurtisartwork@gmail.com using the title “ARRRT COMPETITION” and tell Paul your total mural count and include a link to the Flickr/Facebook album (Please do not email the photos as you just need to add the link to your photo album).
The person who has the most murals ticked off will be the winner. The prizes will be:
- A signed framed print of their choice
- A one to one art lesson (optional)
- A painting set
- A visit to their school to do a multimedia talk
The runner up will get a signed framed print and art set.
Please note that some of the murals are indoors and within businesses so please be respectful to the businesses and staff when asking if you can take a photo.
Good luck and happy hunting!
