The charity, which was founded by local parents Lindsey Devlin and Christopher Pagett following the loss of their precious new born baby Elsie in 2018, offers support to families when their pregnancy doesn’t follow plan.

Designed to focus on the wellbeing of the whole family, Elsie’s Moon offers a range of support services from one-to-one counselling, mindfulness, yoga and peer support as well as specialist rainbow baby (pregnancy after loss) help.

Throughout the week, Lindsey, Chris and the team will be focussing in on a different aspect of babyloss leading to an informal community event on at the Floral Pavilion’s Panoramic Lounge from 6pm on Thursday 14th October where parents, siblings, family, friends (and well-behaved dogs!) can meet, and share some time together with hot drinks and food, provided by Elsie’s Moon, in a relaxed setting.

ollowing which, weather permitting, the team are planning a rememberance walk around the New Brighton marine lake starting at 6.30pm.

Commenting on the event, organisers Lindsey and Chris said:

‘Launching Elsie’s Moon gave us a focus and a purpose in the wake of Elsie’s passing. It’s one of the most difficult things any family can face and I know that meeting others who truly understand what you are going through can really help the healing process. We are so grateful to the team at the Floral Pavilion for getting behind the initiative and supporting us in such a showstopping way. Anything we can do to raise awareness and drive change is priceless to us and we hope we can continue to help and support families for many years to come’

If you or someone you know have been effected by babyloss and you would like to get involved in the Walk & Talk event please visit Elsie’s Moon’s Facebook page https://fb.me/e/2yVzM0Kps or contact – support@elsiesmoon.co.uk
