Liverpool’s popular Greek eatery Laros expands to Manchester with second location, bringing a Dark Kitchen.
The much-loved authentic Greek eatery on Liverpool’s Bold Street, will see the second location presented as a Dark Kitchen and will be available for delivery only via Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo from Wednesday 27th October, from 12pm-10.30pm everyday.
Offering its full authentic Greek food menu, Mancunians will be able to tuck into Laros’ renowned chicken and honey or pork and tzatziki gyros, as well as the juicy pork, chicken or lamb souvlaki and the eatery’s ‘better than halloumi’ Talagani cheese fries.
Also on Laros’ Dark Kitchen menu is the Talagani cheese fries vegetarian wrap and the Revithokeftedes Vegan pita wrap – both make excellent meat-free alternatives.
Talagani fries are very similar to halloumi fries which have become increasingly popular, but ‘even better’ says owner Nikolaos Fylladitakis who has been in the hospitality industry for many years, having owned his own restaurants in Liverpool.
Originally from Crete, the entrepreneur is keen to showcase authentic Greek cuisine that is of the highest quality, with the majority of Laros’ ingredients sourced and imported directly from Greece.
Other ingredients that cannot come from Greece, are locally sourced using trusted independents.
Laros has been created to showcase the true authenticity of Greek street food and is a place where people can enjoy the ease of street food, whilst also experiencing the essence of fine cuisine. Ultimately, Laros was created to bring a taste of the most popular Greek street food to the UK, exactly as you would have it if you were to eat it in Greece.
Its new Manchester site will operate as a takeaway of the future; allowing guests to enjoy delicious, high quality food from the comfort of their home.
To pair with a delicious main, or to be enjoyed as a lighter option, Laros also has its deliciously fresh and authentic salads on the menu including a classic Greek salad, a Politiki cabbage-based salad and Cretan Dakos salad with tomatoes and olives.
For dessert, Laros is bringing its divine Loukoumades to Manchester – Loukoumades are little sweet Greek donut balls served traditionally with honey syrup and chopped walnuts but Laros has put its own twist on the classic with the addition of lavender to its honey syrup.
The eatery’s other variations include white chocolate and hazelnut or milk chocolate, making them the perfect way to finish off a meal and a firm favourite with Laros’ customers.
And to go with the dishes, Laros has completed the Greek experience by importing Greek fizzy drinks – Loux – in orange, sour cherry and lemon and Greek beers Mythos and Alfa.
Nikolaos explained:
“Laros has become increasingly popular in Liverpool and we’ve really enjoyed serving so many people our delicious, healthy, authentic Greek cuisine. We work very hard to maintain the highest standard with the finest products. The most important part of this journey is to bring to our guests, flavours that we have grown up with and to provide a source of education of what truly Greek food entails. We have been very rewarded by our guest’s feedback and are delighted that they share this experience with us. Larosis a takeaway of the future and I want everyone to be able to enjoy restaurant quality dishes from the comfort of their own home.”
