Knowsley steps into Christmas with town centres lights switch on events

Knowsley will be stepping into Christmas with the announcement of their town centres lights switch on events.

Huyton Village Centre and Kirkby and Prescot Town Centres will each host a free Christmas lights switch on events in November.

People of all ages can look forward to a spectacular show at each event, with live music and entertainment to enjoy.

Prescot Town Centre

Saturday 13 November (4pm-7pm) – Christmas lights switch on, featuring live music and walkabout entertainment.

Huyton Village Centre

Friday 19 November (4pm-9pm) – includes Huyton Live, with live music, food and drink and walkabout entertainment.

Kirkby Town Centre

Thursday 25 November (4pm-7pm) – featuring a spectacular fireworks display, plus live music from Toploader and more!

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: 

“It’s a fantastic line up of festive events in our town centres. All the activities are free and family friendly. With so much going on in our town centres I’m sure they can expect plenty of visitors in the lead up to Christmas.”

Fun, free family-friendly events will be taking place across our town centres throughout the festive season, including every Saturday in December in the lead up to Christmas.

Residents, visitors and shoppers can look forward to a host of exciting, free events in our town centres over the festive period.

Huyton Village Centre and Kirkby and Prescot Town Centres will have something for the whole family to enjoy, with events taking place every Saturday during December in the lead up to Christmas.

Throughout December families can also visit Santa’s grotto in Huyton Village Centre and Kirkby Town Centre, while Market Place in Prescot will host the Imaginarium Theatre’s Father Christmas Story Time from 13 November right up to Christmas Eve! Tickets are available at www.imaginariumtheatre.co.uk and payment is on entry in Huyton and Kirkby.
