Two former professional footballers launch Liverpool’s first indoor 1-2-1 football performance centre.

Andrai Jones and Shaun Mangan – the co-owners of KKZ Coaching – will nurture budding and professional level footballers through elite 1-2-1, 2-2-1 and small group training sessions.

Having played together at Bury FC from 2009-2010, the Liverpool-born coaches have a wealth of knowledge of both football and sports science between them.

Andrai went on to play in the EFL Championship for Barnsley FC, having also played for Tranmere Rovers FC, Gateshead FC, Southport FC, Hereford FC, Bala Town FC and Guiseley FC.

Shaun was offered a scholarship at Liverpool John Moore’s University whilst working for Bury FC as an Academy Coach where he studied a Bsc (Hons) Sports & Exercise Science degree. Shaun has also worked as an Academy Coach and Talent Scout for Liverpool Football Club.

On Saturday 1st May, KKZ Performance Centre will be open to the public from 12-3pm and everyone is welcome to visit the facility.

The launch will include football tournaments for different age groups, football challenges, a football freestyler, an assault course bouncy castle, face painting, a DJ and refreshments. Both Andrai and Shaun will be on hand to chat to visitors.

The indoor performance centre has been decked out in high quality astro turf and positive phrases to encourage those training with KKZ. It also includes a changing room, toilets and a viewing area for visitors to watch those who are training.

Offering sessions from age four up to professional level, KKZ also hosts football camps in the school holidays.

Shaun Mangan, co-owner of KKZ Coaching, said:

“We’re extremely excited to open the centre. We pride ourselves on having a positive impact on each and every player that walks through our doors, and use our hands on experience from playing ourselves, as well as being around the professional set up to give the best advice and guidance for performance and mindset for both players and parents.

“KKZ Performance Centre allows us to open our offering up further and have an impact on even more people and we can’t wait to welcome everyone on Saturday 1st May.”
