Returning to the city for its 7th year, the FREE global event Jane’s Walk will be taking place this May. The citizen-led walking tours inspired by the work of urban activist Jane Jacobs, takes place annually all over the world during the first weekend in May (on what was Jane’s birthday).
The walks allow people to tell stories about their communities, explore their cities, and connect with neighbours. They are designed as a walking conversation–so come along and find out more about Liverpool as well as share your own stories of the area.
Led by a local person who wants to tell their ‘story’ of an area, the informal walks provide information about how an area has developed, how it is going to develop, the social history of an area and so much more.
The tour will consist of two walks throughout the day, Walk 1 will be the Liverpool Waterfront from 11.00am-12.30pm, Walk 2 will be Accessing the RopeWalks from 2.00pm-3.30pm.
