Liverpool Christmas Markets

The season will get under way with the return of the popular Christmas markets on Saturday (19 November), which will see dozens of festive cabins located on St George’s Hall plateau and along William Brown Street.
Expect festive food offerings along with unique Christmas gifts, decorations, art, crafts and jewellery courtesy of a wide range of crafters and makers. There will also be a mix of old and new bars serving festive drinks, with local performers providing entertainment through the week. For those who fancy a sing-a-long, the karaoke ski lifts will be back.
The big wheel, snow slide and Santa Land rides all return to add to the family fun.
Magical Christmas Experience at Otterspool Adventure

Enchanted at Knowsley Safari

Knowsley Safari’s incredibly popular animal-themed evening light trail, Enchanted returns from Saturday 19th November until Friday 30th December.
This years’ experience is set to be popular, with over 30 light-up animals throughout the Foot Safari, ready to immerse guests in the festive spirit. Families and friends alike will be swept away by the magical atmosphere created by illuminated deer, giraffes, zebra, penguins, flamingos and many more, as seasonal music plays.
Knowsley Safari is pulling out all the stops with its brand-new Christmas Carnival area, where family favourite games will be played – all included in the ticket price.
Enchanted tickets are priced at £11 and at special discounted price of £9 for members. Under 3s and carers are free. There are two Santa Experience packages to choose from. Tickets are £10 and £18 per child and must also be pre-booked online.
ELF – A Christmas Arena Spectacular

ELF, the hit Hollywood blockbuster movie has been supersized into a live arena spectacular for this Christmas with a massive stage featuring amazing film backdrops on a huge LED screen plus a mobile stage that travels the auditorium, so everyone gets a close-up view of the action.
The story is hilariously recreated by a large cast of performers into the biggest live Christmas show in the UK. The festive spectacular will feature West End star Steven Serlin stepping into the big floppy shoes of Will Ferrell to play Buddy the Elf.

Story Time with Santa

Story Time with Santa returns to the stunning Liverpool Town Hall for 2022!
Join Father Christmas and his friend, Buddy the Elf, as they share magical stories and sing a song or two in front of their cosy log fire.
This unique, festive event is so much more than a traditional Christmas Grotto…. It is an intimate and engaging experience which will leave you and your little ones spellbound. Each child gets a turn of sharing their Christmas wishes with Santa, before receiving a special gift.
With a maximum of 20 children per story session, be sure to book early for this hugely popular family experience that brings the true magic of Christmas alive.
Tickets are £20 (plus booking fees) per child. Each session is approximately 45 minutes and two adults per child are able to attend free of charge.

BOST Musicals Presents SHREK The Musical

Come visit the magical ski holiday-inspired alpine wonderland taking over Chavasse Park at Liverpool ONE this Christmas. Along with karaoke, you can expect curling, shuffleboard, prosecco pong, wreath making, food and drink stalls and festive family events.
A new 25-metre Christmas tree will sit at the centre of the attraction on Chavasse Park which itself stands 18 metres above sea level, making the new installation one of the highest artificial trees in the UK.
The new addition will replace the long established “love heart” Christmas tree on Paradise Street which will now be the location for a series of eight-metre neon trees ensuring that visitors can enjoy a vibrant new design this year.

Tchaikovsky’s elegant Nutcracker Suite leads on from Brahms’ serious Hungarian Dance No.5, before Strauss II introduces us to the boundless exuberance of the Polish March in his Trisch-Trasch Polka.
In the concert’s penultimate work Tchaikovsky transports the evening to the magical halls of snowy Tsarist Russia with a regal waltz from his ballet Sleeping Beauty. The evening reaches its climax with the famous Blue Danube Waltz, not only proving the crowning jewel of a fabulous night’s worth of music, but the coronation of Johann Strauss II as the master of the Viennese waltz.
