Global Scouse Day is back for 2021, although things are a little bit different this year due to current lockdown restrictions, the special day dedicated to Liverpool’s favourite dish will still be packing a punch!
Taking place on Sunday 28th February, the Global Scouse Day team will be teaming up with LIDS (Liverpool Independent Delivered Services) to bring you locally sourced ingredients and locally prepared scouse right to your doorstep.
How to get your scouse on
Make your own – Order yourself one of LIDS bespoke scouse hampers with everything you need for a hearty Liverpool Stew. Includes onions, carrots, potatoes, beef, lamb. Distributed UK wide.
Heat at Home – if cooking isn’t your bag, or if you’re just busy you can still join in with global Scouse Day thanks to LIDS pre-prepared food delivery service. Merseyside only.
Orders will be delivered on Saturday 27th February.
The fun doesn’t stop there you can also tune in and join the free live cook-along! Global Scousers Dave Critchley and Graham Hughes will be hosting a live scouse cook-along via Zoom on Saturday 27th February between 5.00pm-6.00pm.
Scouse is always best prepared the day before, so the cook-along is perfect to get it all prepped before the big day. The Zoom will also include talks about the history and culture of the most fabulous city in the world.. Liverpool!
You can also show you support by printing off the amazing posters created by local artist and illustrator Katherine Caldwell of The Nest. Options available to print posters to colour in with all the family.
