Gaucho has arrived in Liverpool, with not one but two amazing launch events.
The award-winning steak restaurant will officially open its doors from Wednesday 23rd November and has so far been over-whelmed by the welcome it has received from the city.
The launch events seen over 600 people come through the iconic tiger-head doors including some celebrity fans.
Celebrities who attended included ex-footballers Ian Rush and Peter Reid as well as Dr Ranj and Jennifer Ellison. At both events the team at Gaucho had an amazing raffle that guests could take part in to help raise money for Alder Hey children’s hospital, Gaucho’s chosen charity to support in the city. The restaurant has pledged to donate at least £10,000 to fully fit two parents’ rooms in the hospital’s new neonatal unit.
There was also a special guest in the form of a Gaucho Lambbanana which has been kindly loaned to the restaurant by Big Brother winner Craig Philips. A proud symbol of Liverpool the Gaucho Lambbanana will be there to welcome guests through the doors for the next few weeks.
Gaucho has been praised for bringing the iconic No 7 Water Street back to life, with the company investing a seven-figure sum in renovating the Grade ll listed building which has been closed and unused since 2015. Guests can now enjoy the stunning architecture of the building whilst enjoying the most amazing carbon-neutral beef and an a la carte menu curated by Culinary Director Mike Reid which features a whole range of contemporary Latin American dishes.
The restaurant will also be launching Gaucho Lates from Thursday 24th November, just in time for the Christmas party season. Gaucho Lates will bring the party and the culture of modern Argentina to Liverpool every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with DJ’s, entertainment and live music.
With a bar menu of light bites available until 12.30pm the Gaucho bar will be a destination for those looking for a perfect place to end their night.
For anyone who is yet to organise their Christmas parties there are also two beautiful private dining rooms which are ideal for any last-minute Christmas nights out. With one sitting 18 and the other 8 guests, both offer a very grand setting for any celebration.
