SERIES ONE – EDITION FOURTEEN
In the fourteenth edition in the Faces behind the Business series we caught up with Lauren Clinton, aged 28 a chef at Baby E Coffee; a coffee shop & deli wine bar.
When did you first get into the industry?
I first started working in the industry at the age of 16 for Heathcotes in the Echo Arena, every role imaginable! From pot wash, to kitchen hand, kiosk server to kiosk cook, waiting on & bar work it was a brilliant 3 years.
How long have you worked at BabyE Coffee and what is your job role?
I have worked within Baby E Coffee from the very start, 2 and half years ago. I am the chef & one of the small lovely team we have 🙂
What is BabyE Coffee ethos?
We place a lot of encouragement into youth, bringing people onboard onto our team who simply have a willingness to learn. Our craft is just as much food & coffee as it is creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
What’s the best bit of advice you could give to anyone looking at working in your line of work?
Anyone wanting to be a part of the hospitality industry… be friendly, service plays an integral part of business gaining a solid customer base.
What do you love most about Liverpool?
The heart of Liverpool is it’s friendly scouse humour. It’s a city that pulls together & attracts people from far & wide in it’s warmness.
If you could describe your business in 3 words what would they be?
GOOD FOOD, GOOD VIBES (sorry has to be 4 words ????)
