Tour Guide Dan Roberts said: “It always bothered me that there wasn’t a decent Ghost-Tour experience in Liverpool’s St. James’ Cemetery. It’s one of the strangest and most actively-haunted locations in the world. I know tons of amazing history and folklore about the place and have heard all sorts of crazy anecdotes. I’ve even experienced some weird stuff down there myself! So I got to work on research, put a script together compiling all of my favourite supernatural stories and lore about the site, and was able to work out exactly where the mysterious events took place.

We’ve been rehearsing it down in the cemetery for weeks- and it’s finally ready! At long last, we are proud to present, Tales from the Necropolis: the exciting, new Ghost-Tour through Liverpool’s St. James’ Cemetery. In essence, we’ve made a tour that I myself would go absolutely crazy for if I saw it in my home city.”

Now that half of Liverpool has been closed down, everyone’s wondering what they’re going to do for Halloween week. Well, Tales from the Necropolis takes place in an outdoor, open-access public space, so as long as brave guests follow the government guidelines and we all keep to our bubbles, it’s the perfect, safe, and legal way to spend Hallowe’en! It’s turned out to be an amazing way to keep theatre and social activity alive in our city during these bleak, ever-restrictive times.

It’s the perfect time to get out of the house and do something fun with the family. Let the guides take you down by lantern-light into the sunken necropolis and regale you with the mind-blowing, true stories of ghosts, witches, vampires, black magicians, demonic shadow-entities, and even friendly, elf-like creatures that haunt Liverpool’s ancient city-centre graveyard to this day!
