Christmas should be a magical time, for children to be full of excitement at the thought of what presents are underneath the tree, but for some children and families it’s a stressful time wondering if they have enough money to purchase a gift alone.
Various organisations across the Liverpool City Region are going above and beyond to ensure every family across the city gets to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year, from providing pyjamas, new toys and food on the table this Christmas.
We have put together a list of some of the many amazing places that are supporting the city’s most vulnerable.
Pyjama Party Liverpool
Donating new pyjamas to children and young people who are homeless or in need this Christmas in Liverpool and surrounding areas.
People of the city kindly donate pyjamas which are left at different collection points in the city to help support families in the communities who are struggling the gift of having new PJs on Christmas Eve.

Liverpool Homeless Football Club
Liverpool Homeless Football Club run a Christmas Toy Appeal, collecting presents to donate to children living in hostels and domestic abuse units. The appeal provides so many children across Merseyside with presents to unwrap on Christmas Day.
Due to the current situation the team have created an Amazon Wish List of toys which can be purchased, and they will be posted directly to the drop off point. The children living in hostels and domestic abuse units are aged 0-18, with the list offering a range of gifts for all ages.

KIND
KIND have launched their Christmas Appeal to help support and make Christmas a happier and special for thousands of disadvantaged children and families from across the community.
For every £75.00 raised, KIND are able to provide a large family sized food hamper packed with everything needed for a great Christmas. KIND work in partnership with a wide range of local statutory and voluntary sector organisations, schools and community groups to identify struggling families that are truly in need.

Radio City Cash for Kids
Radio City will be launching their Mission Christmas Cash for Kids Appeal to bring the magic of Christmas alive for children and Families across Merseyside that are struggling.
You can donate a new and unwrapped gift at drop-off points across the area, as well as buying a gift from Radio City’s Amazon Wishlist. There is also the option to donate money online at www.cashforkidsgive.co.uk with options of monthly giving or one-off giving.
Cash donations to the appeal help enable to buy gifts such as specialist items for disabled children, as well as buying in bulk at reduced cost.

The Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal
The Salvation Army will be running their Christmas Present Appeal where new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children who may not receive a present can be donated.
Gifts will be wrapped and distributed to those in need this Christmas, by giving a gift to the Christmas Present Appeal you can make a real difference in someone’s life.
Gifts can be donated to the Salvation Army Centre.

Kirkdale Boxing Club
Kirkdale Boxing Club will be continuing their Boxing Off Christmas Appeal, with the aim to provide 200 hampers to local community, new toys for 200 children plus 30 hot meals on Christmas Day.
Teaming up with Transalpino, MERRY KRSMAS will also be arranging for new PJs as well as a half term breakfast club which includes 2 hours of fun and games along with a healthy breakfast.

Fika Liverpool
Fika Coffee shop have launched a Christmas Appeal where people can drop off unopened toys which will be distributed to children within Liverpool who are unfortunate not to have any gifts this Christmas.
The appeal will be running up to the week before Christmas and donations can be dropped off at the venue.

City of Liverpool FC in The Community
City of Liverpool FC in The Community have launched their ‘The Big Scouse Toy Appeal’ which will be providing toys and gifts to children aged 0-14 years of age to make sure they have something special to open on Christmas Day.
Families come and choose the gifts they would like to give to their children from the selection which are donated by supporters.
Donations can be made, with every penny donated going towards helping children of the city. There is also a list with the most requested items from past years if people prefer to buy a gift.
