Derry Mathews Academy CIC to host the city’s largest free children’s Christmas party this December.
Derry Mathews CIC FREE Family Christmas party for 300 plus children from across the city will take place on Saturday 17th December 2022 in the grand room at the Adelphi Hotel on Ranelagh Street, Liverpool City Centre.
Coming off the back of the massive success of their free family fun day on the last day of the summer holidays, which had over a thousand people in attendance. The fun day included wrestlers, bouncy castles, go karts, music, food and much more – providing a memorable day for all the children that attended.
The team behind the event includes Mitchel Walsh Director of Integritas Property Group who has backed both events, Derry Mathews and Stephen Edgerton directors of Derry Mathews Academy CIC, Hayley Smitton Director of Outside in Festival and Colin Dobie & Sharon Jazza. The team are now taking on an even bigger project and need the city’s help in putting on a magical free Christmas party for 300 local Liverpool children!
The day will include a Panto, Christmas choir, Christmas characters, Santa’s grotto, games, food and a selection box and present for every single child in attendance.
Director Stephen Edgerton said:
“The thought of any child waking up in Liverpool with no present has been the reason why the team are determined to put on this amazing event. The last fun day we did gave loads of kids an amazing summer holiday memory. To see them all smiling is a sight I will never forget.
We are now taking on an even bigger project, which is totally free for all parents and families to attend. I know this city will rally behind us and all help no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated.”
The team wants to create a Christmas wonderland for all children and a memorable day with father Christmas. To get involved and to help give every child a present.
Those who want to get involved can drop boxed presents off at Derry’s Fit Club, Marybone Community Centre, Fontenoy Street, L3 2BE. Alternatively or one of the team would be more than happy to come to your place of work/address to collect.
Or any local businesses who wish to make a donation can do so to Derry Mathews Academy CIC and all proceeds will go towards providing an amazing experience to all the children in attendance.
