Cream Classical on the Waterfront has announced its return with an all-new festival for the summer, and this year will be taking over Liverpool’s iconic Pier Head on Saturday 18th September.
With light at the end of the tunnel now in sight for the return of live events ‘Cream Classical on the Waterfront’ will be bringing the amazing 50-piece Kaleidoscope Orchestra, performers and vocalists together to perform a brand-new live show featuring a spine-tingling set list curated by electronic duo K-Klass, which will include some of dance music’s biggest tracks plus a line up featuring some of the biggest names to have graced the decks at Cream’s legendary club including DJ sets from the likes of Basement Jaxx, Faithless, Seb Fontaine, Tall Paul + many more.
Paul & Russ (K-Klass) said:
“We can’t even begin to tell you how excited we are to be part of ‘Cream Classical on the Waterfront’. It will be the perfect way for everyone to come together to celebrate our love for the music and events we have all missed so much over the past 12 months. We can’t wait to hear the sound of our selection of Cream Classics brought to life by Tim Crooks, The Kaleidoscope Orchestra and vocalists filling the air of the city, whilst Cream’s amazing production sets the Liverpool skyline ablaze with colour and light. This is going to be very special indeed!”
Cream HQ have kept fans guessing over the last week, following a cryptic ‘sign up’ message on socials and it seems that was all that was needed as over 40,000 people have already signed up for presale.
Cream Classical has staged an unprecedented series of sell out shows since its inception in 2016, staging the first of many events at Liverpool Cathedral and attracting over 35,000 people to the first ever ‘Cream Classical in The Park’ in 2019. This summer’s return will see it take over yet another iconic landmark in the city, with Liverpool’s ‘Three Graces’ and the waterfront as its stunning backdrop.
A Cream spokesperson said:
“We’re excited to bring Cream Classical back this Summer for what will be the biggest show for the city in over a year. Demand has never been greater for the return of live music, and this will be a great celebration to bring fans together safely after a 12 month shutdown due to the pandemic. The stunning location also holds great memories, marking 21 years since our last show at the Pier Head for the Millennium”.
