The Christmas Decorators, who have transformed the homes of hundreds of celebrities including Mariah Carey, Steven Spielberg, the Beckhams, Steven Gerrard and Reds star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, are giving Liverpool restaurant Dash a dazzling festive makeover.
They are planning to wrap the listed building on Victoria Street in more than 10,000 twinkling lights and a huge garland of foliage, adding super-sized baubles and topping it all off with a 35ft Christmas tree over the main staircase entrance.
Inside will be filled with giant animated talking bears, bespoke Christmas lettering, luxury garlands and wreaths.
And, if that wasn’t enough, they’re even planning to decorate the bus stop outside the restaurant with a matching Christmas theme!
Dash is getting all lit up on Thursday June 13 as it reveals its plans for the season with an exclusive VIP invitation-only event, treating guests to a spectacular selection of Christmas cocktails and food.
Courtesy of Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols, luxury brands including Tom Ford and Gucci will be showcasing their latest fragrances alongside the finest jewellery and watches from David M Robinson, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. There will also be live entertainment from Liverpool’s X Factor artists performing Christmas classics.
But it’s not just invited guests who can get involved in the festivities … Dash and nightclub XOXO are keen to get all their customers excited about what’s coming for Christmas, so they’re offering a very special prize to the one with best Instagram post #dashliverpool.
Valued at thousands of pounds, the prize includes a Christmas meal for the winner and their family, with champagne, cocktails and Rolls Royce transport, plus a piece of jewellery, a watch and luxury fragrances.
Adele Gregson, director of Christmas Decorators, says the transformation will be stunning.
“Because it’s only fully in place for one night, we’re really going all-out to make it amazing,” she said. “It will take four full days to prepare, and then we’ll be working through the night on Wednesday to put all the largest pieces in place so it’s ready for the big reveal on Thursday.
“The most difficult part for us is the building itself, and also being in the city centre on one of the busiest streets in Liverpool, so by working overnight hopefully we’ll be like the little elves who come in and create Christmas while everyone else is asleep!”
Dean Jones, one of four partners in The 15 Group which owns Dash and XOXO, says they want to make this Christmas a memorable one.
“Because we opened just before Christmas last year, we were new to the city and everyone was just discovering us. Now we’re established as one of the best restaurants in Liverpool we want to give everyone a glimpse of what they can look forward to. The building is such a great landmark, we really want it to be the centrepiece of our celebration, to make people curious and get them talking.”
