The Vikings Landing is a new Marston’s pub and carvery in Croxteth. ‘Croxteth’ is thought to come from the phrase ‘Crocker’s Staithe’, or ‘the landing place of Crocker’, a nod to when an adventurous Viking sailed in to the area via the River Alt, around the year 800 AD, and claimed the land as his own! The pub is ideally located on the A580, 1 mile from J4 of the M57, and just a short drive from Aintree, Bootle or Liverpool.
