A new show is to tell the story of Speedo Mick, a Liverpool man who raised over £1m for charity by walking in his swimming trunks.
Speedo Mick – The Scouse Stomper will tell the tale of Michael Cullen, who was awarded Liverpool’s Citizen of Honour in May this year. The show will open from 30 May to 5 July.
This is the story of a man who had lost everything. His family, his home, his mind, his soul, the lot. He’d burned every bridge and was left feeling angry and blue. As he got clean, he wanted to give something back so he set about raising money.
