Bar 8, a chic new sports bar nestled in the heart of Liverpool City Centre, is a vibrant addition to the city’s entertainment scene, and it’s now open just in time for the Euros!
Situated at the former Garlands nightclub on Eberle Street, the bar promises an unforgettable experience for both sports enthusiasts and revellers.
The new concept aims to turn sports viewing into full-on events, with drinks packages and live entertainment on offer. With the Euros kicking off just after its launch, the bar is offering unlimited beer for just £30 during tournament matches, with top DJ Sean Halliwell providing the tunes after all England matches.
The bar is named in honour of Emile Heskey’s iconic shirt number and owners’ relationship with the former England and Liverpool star, Bar 8 is set to redefine sports viewing as immersive events. With a focus on creating dynamic experiences, the venue offers enticing drinks packages and live entertainment, transforming every match into a spectacle to remember.
Now open to the public, Bar 8 joins Elysium nightclub in taking over the space of the legendary Garlands nightclub. Elysium nightclub opened in early 2023 and has already hosted some top nights featuring the likes of Anton Powers, K Klass and Todd Terry.
The aim of both Elysium and its sister venue, Bar 8, is to help bring the iconic Eberle Street back to life as a destination — offering live sport events with a difference, bottomless brunch bingo events and club nights with top local DJs and big names. In addition to Bar 8 becoming a premier live sport venue, Elysium has some huge events planned such as Katie Goodman and a massive Liverpool Pride weekend.

With a capacity of 1000, Elysium and Bar 8 boast state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, ensuring an immersive experience at both. From bottomless beer offers during sporting events to upcoming bottomless brunch bingo events, the venue is poised to become a go-to destination for both sporting events and club nights.
The newly launched Bar 8 will be open every Saturday night as standard and for all major sporting events, with drinks packages and offers such as bottomless beer and a DJ following the events. The bar will be showing all Euro 2024 football matches, with bottomless beer for £30 and top DJ Shaun Halliwell performing after England matches.
