After months of anticipation, Marks & Spencer has officially opened its latest new store on Liverpool ONE’s South John Street today (Tuesday, August 15).
The new store has 70,000 square feet of trading space and includes a new market-style Foodhall, stylish and spacious new Clothing, Home & Beauty departments, and the first-ever, new-look M&S Coffee Shop.
The new M&S Liverpool ONE store is part of the retailer’s plans to invest approximately £480 million in its store rotation programme, creating over 3,400 new jobs across the country.
Along with the existing M&S Liverpool team of 250 employees who have transferred to the new store, the retailer has hired over 70 new employees.
The spacious new Clothing department provides shoppers with plenty of style inspiration with the latest collections in womenswear, kidswear, and menswear, as well as dedicated, neon-lit areas highlighting M&S customer favourites such as Per Una, Autograph, and Goodmove.
The M&S Beauty department has been transformed to showcase popular products such as the Apothecary collection and the new M&S Fresh Elements skincare range.
The store also houses the first new-look M&S Coffee Shop. The exciting new Hospitality concept is a great pre- or post-shop pit stop, with a transformed menu featuring freshly made sandwiches and pastries, chilled drinks, including the iconic Colin the Caterpillar™ and Percy Pig™ Slushees, and a great selection of delicious cakes and treats.
Customers will find a new fresh-market feel inside the brand-new M&S Foodhall, with displays brimming with great-quality, trusted-value produce from M&S Select Farms, a show-stopping bakery offering fresh, daily-baked bread and pastries, and a dedicated M&S Wine Shop.

Following the recent opening of Gravity MAX on the remaining upper two floors, M&S Liverpool ONE completes the evolution of the former Debenhams unit, marking Gravity UK’s largest investment (£10 million) and largest site (100,000 sq ft) to date.
The store is located at Liverpool ONE, Liverpool, L2 1TA, UK and will be open Monday – Friday 9am– 8pm, Saturday 9am – 7pm and on Sunday, 11am – 5pm.
