Liverpool-based alternative four-piece Sterling Press have announced a show in Liverpool for Spring 2023.
Built on the foundations of a classic rock band and drawing influence from punk, ska and techno, the band will be bringing their synth-fuelled indie classics to Liverpool’s O2 Academy on 17 March 2023.
Formed in Spring 2020 at the dawn of the pandemic, Sterling Press had a hell of a lot of time to get stuck into writing and recording. With a dynamic musicianship that thrives off of experimentation, the band have been working night and day on their compelling future releases with three stellar singles under their belts to date.
Now on a speedy upward trajectory, Sterling Press have attracted praise from the likes of Radio X, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Notion, with the latter lauding: “A UK hit band has been long overdue and Sterling Press might just fit the bill.”
After growing up in Hanwell, West London, the foursome have played music together under various different guises for as long as they can remember. Spending the best part of their adolescence performing on a multitude of sticky-floored grassroots stages across the UK, Sterling Press have built a reputation for delivering high-octane live sets.
The band have just signed to Manchester based Fear Records for their debut EP and recently supported the likes of The Native, The Goa Express and Spyres on tours across the UK, the four-piece have also played at festivals across the country including Distortions, Sound City and Sonic Wave.
