INNSiDE Liverpool has launched a plant room pop-up for the summer.
One of the rooms at the hotel has been given a leafy renovation with a curated collection of houseplants, from a local independent collaboration – available to book throughout the summer, on a first-come first-served basis.
This summer, INNSiDE Liverpool will offer an unique stay experience with the goal of increasing enjoyment as soon as visitors enter the Botanical bedroom. Not only do indoor plants enhance the overall appearance of the rooms they are in, but studies have shown they boost moods, increase creativity, reduce stress, and eliminate air pollutants — making for a healthier, happier you.
The Liverpool Botanical plant room is in collaboration with independent plant and lifestyle Root Houseplants based inLiverpool’s School Lane. The Botanical Room has been curated by Root Houseplants who has helped conceive and oversee the design of the greenery in the room; in addition to suggesting the best plant species that are most suited, based on the environment of the room, ambience, and seasonality.
Headed up by Lisa, Root Houseplants started selling online in 2017 and had their first market stall in April 2018. Since then, they’ve delivered over 10,000 online orders, a store in Liverpool city centre and provide and plants for local businesses.
The collaboration is in keeping with INNSiDE by Meliá’s philosophy ‘Stay Curious’, which promises to accommodate guests’ every need with considered comforts and locally inspired experiences.
Commenting on the Botanical collaboration launch, Garry Fortune, Director of Operations INNSiDE UK North said:
“We wanted to create something a little different for our guests – a bedroom offering that reflects a summer staycation, blooming with greenery and promoting a natural mood booster for those staying with us. The collaboration with Root Houseplants draws on the Stay Curious ethos of INNSiDE; offering locally inspired experiences with a venturous difference.”
INNSiDE has also incorporated greenery into its outdoor spaces. INNSiDE Newcastle boasts an impressive self-watering Living Roof that can be seen from the hotel bedrooms, while INNSiDE Liverpool has recently launched The Secret Garden – a new collaboration with Gino D’Acampo’s Old Hall Street restaurant. The Secret Garden, concealed within the heart of INNSiDE Liverpool, sees a £300k investment in the hotel, transforming over 400 sqm of a never-before-seen outdoor area into a beautiful open-air oasis. The new 170-cover garden is bursting with plants sourced from Italy, promising to raise the bar for alfresco socials in the city.
The summer Botanical Room is available at INNSiDE Liverpool to book throughout August and into September 2022, with no additional costs. To book or upgrade please contact the hotel reception.
