In a league of fine margins and a title race of fine margins this was a vital game for Liverpool due to Chelsea losing in the early kick-off.
A win would take them above their rivals, and it took them until to the last 60 seconds to get that winner.
It came from Divock Origi who yet again cemented himself as the biggest cult hero Liverpool have ever seen due to his skill of popping up when Jurgen Klopp needs him most.
Liverpool were certainly not at their best at the Molineux stadium as Wolves’ defensive five at the back system did well to nullify any attacking threat.

In the second half nothing much changed as Bruno Lage’s side offered next to nothing going forward with their only attacking threat being Adama Traore on the break, but he was dealt with rather easily due to his poor end product.
Thiago Alcantara came very close to opening the scoring after a corner routine seen him latch on Salah’s volley and his effort was blocked on the line then the rebound was somehow saved by Jose Sa.
Then shortly after former Wolves man Jota missed an open net which will go down as one of the worst of the season.
Sa had came rushing out and missed the ball, so Jota carried it into the box with all the time and space in the world.
Connor Coady was on the line with Max Kilman and instead of putting it either side of the pair Jota fired it straight at Coady.
It looked like that miss would came back to bite Liverpool as the only chance they created was with five minutes to go when Sadio Mane had some space on the left, but his effort was expertly parried out by Sa.
But then in the last 90 seconds The Reds started one more final attack.
Virgil Van Dijk played an inch perfect diagonal pass to Salah whose first touch was exceptional as it got him away from his defender.
He played the ball to Origi who took a touch and somehow had the composure to swivel before slotting the ball past Sa.
The bench went mental, his teammates went mental and the away end went absolutely mental.
It was another special last-minute winner from the Belgian who before he went onto the pitch was told by manager Jurgen Klopp: “go out and be Divock.”
He did exactly that to give his side some significant momentum going into the Christmas schedule.Next up for Liverpool it is a trip to the San Siro for a game which does not matter too much as they have already topped their Champions League group.
